OutageWith a sudden, loud pop just outside my window, my world goes completely black with the exception of my laptop screen. I curse loudly, moving to the window to check for any sort of rain or weather phenomena to explain the sudden loss of electricity, but the sky is filled with twinkling stars. With a sigh, I pick up my cell and call the power company, listen to them promise me that they'll be there to fix it (poorly) soon, and then flop on the couch. With no air conditioning, the air in the house soon becomes heavy and stale, and all I can do is lie on the couch and wonder when they repairmen would get there.&nOutage
